When to come in
Tread at or below 4/32"
Wet-weather stopping distance falls off sharply well before the legal 2/32" limit.
Uneven or feathered wear
Usually an alignment or suspension issue. New tires alone will wear out the same way if the cause isn't corrected.
Vibration at highway speed
Often a balance problem — sometimes a separated belt inside the tire. Both are worth checking now.
